His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, the Supreme Commander, exchanged cables of congratulations with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
HM the King has also exchanged similar cables of congratulations with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince have also exchanged similar cables of congratulations on this occasion.
For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Defense Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi. HRH the Crown Prince also sent a reply cable of thanks to the Defense Affairs Minister on the 51st BDF anniversary, which falls on the 5th of February.
Bahrain’s Prime Minister also received a cable of congratulations from Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa and from National Guard Commander General His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
He hailed HRH the Premier and the Government for their support which contributed to bolstering the Bahrain Defense Force and enhancing its organization, weaponry and training. HRH the Premier sent a reply cable of thanks to the Commander-in-Chief Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa. He reiterated unwavering support to the BDF, wishing its commander and affiliates every success in performing their national duty.
The Prime Minister also received a cable of congratulations from BDF Chief-of- Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr A-Nuaimi and from Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa.
Earlier, King Hamad issued Royal Order promoting 776 BDF Officers in the various ranks, coinciding with the 51st anniversary of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF).
The BDF Commander-in-Chief also issued his order to promote 3,605 NCOs, military and civilian personnel in the various ranks in the BDF on this occasion, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The Commander-in-Chief congratulated the Officers, NCOs and personnel on their promotion urging them to exert more efforts in the field of work and performance of the national duty in defending the homeland, and to achieve more progress and prosperity for the BDF.
